i am running a 350 Automatic transmission and i have a torque converter on right now and i want to put a spud on for increased performance. how do i install a spud on a 350 tranny? where do i need to drill the holes and all that other stuff?

also the engine size is 358 if that would help u with the info if any of u need it and if u actually respond. this all may sound stupid but i am new at racing cars on dirt track. i started last year and won the bombers championship at 15 years old now i am 16 and i learned alot since and i know spuds are alot better then torque converters 8)

Well, I'm not ashamed to admit that the only "spud" I'm familiar with is a potato. "Spuds McKenzie" comes to mind too. Are you talking about a torque coupler by any chance? And are you talking about the holes you'd need to drill in the pump to bypass the oil though a ball valve so you can put the car in gear then close the valve to take off? Describe what it is you are talking about or send me a link to a webpage that may give me some info on it and I'll be happy to help, if I can. If nothing else I'm just interested in learning what else a "spud" could be.

thats is what i need to know.
the holes i need to drill to bypass the oil in the piump valve.
