We are having a problem with the fuel bowls draining out, after the motor is turned off.

The first time it happened, luckily there was a carburetor guy at the track, and he said change your power valves, because it is the only thing it could be. We did, and it seemed to solve the problem. We ran two more nights with no problems. This past weekend, we warmed up the car before hot laps, turned it off, and the front bowl drained into the motor. We changed the front power valve, went out and ran hot laps. Came back in, and it drained again. Changed the power valve again, and ran my heat race.

Car ran great for 4 laps, then it lost its throttle response in the corners, real sluggish and loaded up, and would clean out on the straights, felt like the floats were set to high (but their not). Anyway, I pulled it in, and put it on the trailer. The next day, both bowls still had fuel in them.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

In my experience Barry Grant's tech guys have always been helpful. You may want to contact them and give them the scoop. That's what I'd do, since it appears to be eating powervalves.

You've got the wrong metering block gasket between the metering block and the center section .
