Just wondering if anyone is running a crank reduction pulley. I was thinking about going to one and am wanting any thoughts. Also how muck is too much. I have seen them as big as 50%. Is this too much or would a 20-30% be the better choice? Thanks...

Maybe it was something else, cause we re-thought the whole system, but we could never cool the engine effectively with 50% reduction. I have since started running the water pump at 65-70% of crank speed.

Generally the water pump speed needs to be about 6000 at max rpm so reduce % depends on how many rpm's the engine is turning. Generally 25-30% for alky and 10-15 for gas. If you go to steward water pumps web site (not sure actual site name) there is alot of info on there about cooling systems and myths about cooling systems check it out.
