posted April 17, 2002 02:47 PM we just strated a b mod class here in town basicly a 360 9-1 motor in a imca car. they can run roller rockers but have a 100# weight penelty for running them do you guys think they are worth the extra weight compared to stamped long slots?

No I don't think it is worth it. 100 pounds is a lot of weight just to gain maybe 10 horsepower.
If you have to add the weight anyway to get percentages right then I would use them.
What is the weight rule? Is it a minimum after the race?

I would if for no other reason that they lessen the strain on the valvetrain ( I'm assuming you can use studs and guides and stud girdles )and you won't have the problem with the fulcrums that can occur and cause failure and like the one guy said 100# in the right place is not always bad sometimes lighter isn't better IMO
