What is the proper clocking of the oil holes
in the cam bearings?
I am freshening up a SBC motor and did not note
where the oil holes were on the different
journals. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

leave the crank out & drive them in until you can see through the oil holes from the crank journals into the cam journals

My machine shop said to put the bearings on the front and rear straight up and the rest at 2 o'clock

It wont make a difference as there is a slot cut in the block on a sbc the General puts them in at as follows panrail at 12:00. #5 oil hole at 6:00. #4-3-2 oil hole at 10:00 .#1 oil holes at 6:00 and 3:00.
