I'm looking for some insight to an intake swap. I have a 355 in a mod on alky that I puchased as a back-up and only know what little I've been told about the internals.(6" rod, 12:1, cam?) It has a tall cast dual plane on it and actually runs very strong on a 1/4 mile track turning 6600. I'm going to a 3/8 mile paper clip type track and wondering if I should put a Victor Jr. on or stick with the cast. My concern is that this swap might hurt the original combination and not come off the tight corners. I'm also thinking that the swap should pull more on top. Should I swap cams at the same time? Anyway that's my situation, so what do you think?

Why not run it first? It sounds like the bottom end is there for your paper clip track.
