where can I find info on TRW pistons online?
I have a set of L2272 that I was going to
try to use in a claimer motor .
The combo I was told would work is :
3.50 stroke crank
400 chev stock length rods
in a 307 Block to keep the main journals big
they said it would be 341 cu inch
Would you consider this a high rpm HP stroker
or a low end torque stroker. It is winter so a guy's mind will wander.

i am not the smartest on motors but with a 3.5 stroke and a 400 rod i would have to say it would be a torgue motor. i would go with a 383 though if i was gonna run a 400 rod

yes I considered that but I don't have a
400 crank . I do have several 3.48 cranks
and one 3.50 crank. also, if i use a 400
crank I would need balencer and flywheel for
it. I was just trying to "make a demand for
what's on hand" .

I think its going to be an rpm motor because of the stroke and bore the rods dont make a sh*t they are short in a 400 instead of long like a 350

Make sure you tell everyone you race with what combination you run. That way you'll never get claimed, nobody in their right mind would want that motor. Why don't you just keep it simple and build a 355 with 5.7 rods?

devil, I got two of those already! if someone wants to claim , they'll do it no matter what you've told them
.

I just get this crazy ideas sometimes.
I've been told that this won't work unless I
stack ALOT of head gaskets together.LOL
Guess I'll go back to the "scrap pile" and
dig up something else.
