hey guys, i just got my heads back from the shop. i am building a motor for my mod for this season. i got the cam from the guy who did my heads and told him i wanted a decent roller and get the springs for the cam and put them on the head. well the springs are so big that the rockers want go on. there is not much between the stud and spring, not enough to put the rocker arm on. these are gm 186 heads. are the srpings to big. do i have to after market heads to run a roller cam or did he just put the wrong springs on there. the cam is about a 626 i think. the springs are 1.540 od. could someone reply soon i am trying to get this motor together this weekend if possible.

When you get the rocker arm situation fixed you need to make sure that the push rods don't rub were they come through the heads. because when you go to a big lift like that the stock slot is not long enough to accommodate for the extra movement. you may have to elongate the slots. Just something you might want to check.
