Ohio pistons are ok,but they are a low priced claimer piston and that must be taken into account when installing them and running them.

The clearances suggested with the pistons must be followed closely.

Also its important to keep the rpms at a resonable level when running these pistons, I would highly suggest keeping things below 7000 if possible when running these pistons.

I ran them in a motor in a mod with good service for nearly 3 seasons trouble free.

THe trouble is that most folks buy the Ohio pistons and run them or treat them like a top flite racing pistons such as a JE and they are not.

However when installed correctly and not over revved these pistons will give reliable service.

Just my two cents,
Good luck

My partner has run the Ohio cast for many years. If you replace them every 2 years you should not have any problems. They are a cheap piston and will work for most all of us poor boys.

Make sure you have the piston honed where the pin goes through or when it heats up you will pull the piston apart at the pin, know it for a fact, dont ask how.For almost the same money you can buy speed-pro hyperutectics and have a far better piston.
