i was looking for a pulley for my wifes ride when i stumbled upon an old chevy truck that was parted out heavily but still had the engine, it was so greasy that i couldnt really read the block number but a valve cover was off of it and i could just make out the last three numbers 460.. also the intake was a 2 barrel aluminum hirise....i think 460 are 327 heads if any body can help me id like to know, cause i can pick up the whole engine for 100.00 also they had small double humps on the ends of the head and also above one of the exhaust ports

A 460 casting is a 59-67 head . Came on 283's and 327's . It has a 70cc combustion chamber , I think . Other than that , I don't know much more about them . Maybe someone else on here is more familiar with them .

I believe early double hump heads dont have the 3 bolt holes in the ends of the heads, and use a spark plug with a gasket, (not the taper seat)

so would this be a good choice for a pure stock 350?

I'd look for some 64cc heads first !
