Will a distributor off of an oldsmobile 350 work in a chevrolet 350? Are they the same or are they different?

no it will not work. 350 Olds is completely different than a 350 Chevy. A 350 olds is short and fat and I believe rotates backwards to the 350 Chevy. A 350 Chevy is long and skinny.

Thanks. I thought that they were probably different since everything else is.

Some folks used to rework Oldsmobile 6" rods to use in place of Chevy 5.7's to get a longer rod and comply with a stock component rule.
