Someone has got to know the scoop on the old tri y design headers. I found an old set in great shape and I'm thinking about how they would work on my 3200# street stock with a flat top 350, hyd cam, 2.02 camelhumps, and Z-28 intake. I think they pair up cylinders 2+4, 6+8, 1+5, and 3+7. I'd like to know if anyone has experience with these or knows something about them; I heard they are no longer manufatured by anyone because they're so inconvenient to make.

You've got a good set of headers ! The tri-y header is excellent for low and mid range toque . This should only assist you in pulling a 3,200lb car off the corner . If Doug Thorley is still in business , he was a major producer of these headers . I'm not sure if any one is making them any more , since the introduction of merge collector's years ago .
