Ok I have always just ordered the short pumps from speedway or others the lazy way but...

If I needed to buy a short pump from the local auto parts, what year and model should you ask for ??

Thanks,
For your help

Do yourself a favor and get a Stewart waterpump. The way these are built, they'll last a good long time...

Thanks for your help.

Now unfourtunately I have a new water pump issue.

I am using a Canton TIming COver and when I try to mount up a short water pump, the back of the water pump hits and will put pressure the timing cover.

I tried going with a double gasket but that still does not give me enough clearance.

I cannot use a long water pump because it does not leave enough room to run the belt/mandrel set up for the belt drive fuel pump.

Has anyone run into this problem before please let me know.
Thanks so much

ok problem solved talked to CV products and they make spacers from 3/8 to 1/2 that go between the block and the water pump and this should solve the problem.

Thanks for everyone help !!!
