I have a set of Darts for a SBC. Could someone tell me a good after market roller rocker that will fit the supplied studs with guide plates. The studs have the tapered bottom to the nut and a regular aluminum rocker will not fit. It hits on the taper of the stud before coming in contact with the push rod. Any info appreciated. Thanks Rino

Rino, I NEVER heard of such a problem, I would think something else is going on.
Did you use a checker to see how long a push rod you need to run? Are you running a big spring, the rocker will some times hit the retainer.
Answer a few questions for me, are you running a standard length valve, or a long valve.....what is the diameter of the springs, and the installed heigth? are you useing a off-set lock to get the installed hiegth correct without having to cut the spring pocket?
this information will help me see what's going on.
Like I said, I've never seen the problem you are discribing.......not that it couldn't happen. I just never seen it, I thought I have been around long enough to have seen MOST problems.
These stud are ALL tappered at the bottom, this is where the get the strength to keep from breaking off. You shouldn't be looking to find a stud without the tapper. And all rockers are the same diamension from pivot point to either end......these are standard measurments......they are all the same as far as hiegth goes......only different from pivot to to one end to change ratio.....
1.5 or 1.6..........

Is the smooth part the same diameter as the threads? I have seen studs that have 3/8" threads and 7/16" stud. The older Fords used to use the same thing on the 429 & 460 Police Interceptor. All had 7/16" threads at the bottom, 7/16" stud and 3/8" threads.

If these heads are used, someone may have changed them to use their 3/8" poly locks with 7/16" roller rockers. i.e. big block rockers.

If all else fails, get new studs to match your rockers or simply call the head manufacturer.
