Modifieds...as light as they are, I feel need more RPM with a softer low end(like a V-6 scenario). What other combo's do you think have this type of a torque curve?

The clark family(Owners of DirtWorks) have a couple of Mods that they run around here, one of which has a 4.3 based 6cyl. Very cool!! I know of one guy that ran a late model that actually ran a 400 engine that was destroked with a 327 crank. It turned into a 340something. He said that it had real smooth top end power. Has anyone else seen one of these?

Yep, I built a 400 with 327 crank and Ford 300 six cylinder rods as written up in Hot Rod Mag. only I used high compression pistons. This engine works real good but I still get my rear kicked due to poor handleing. I also have a 3.125 stroke crank that I was thinking about puting into a 400 with 6" rods, but wonder if the power won't suffer too much.
