I started putting my short block together last night. I'm using Keith Black pistons. They recommend .001" to .004" clearance on the bore. I've got four pistons on the hole now, and this thing seems way tight. Has anyone ever bored one an engine this tight with these pistons? Will it work? My crank is .001" on the low side, so I know its not that. This engine rolls over--just not like I want it too!!!! Someone out there tell me not to worry!! Thanks.

Did you check the clearances before putting the pistons in? You should do that if you havent....if it is too tight(especially in a race motor) it will cause some problems.
