I was needing help on the clearance with my engine it is around 002 and 0015 on the mains is thie too tight.The crank has been turned 020.Could i split the bearing to 021 and get the clearance to 0025.The number one main is the tightest one i did not know if i could put a 021 bearing in or not.As you can tell i do not much about spliting the bearings

WPP, that is a little tight, I have never seen a .021 bearing........and if you found one this would only make the clearance tighter......you would need a .019 bearing and I've still never seen one of those either.
I know they make a +.001 or a -.001 for a standard crank thats too tight or crank has been polished too much. But not a -.001 of +.001 after the crank has been turned.
My advice would be to see a GOOD shop and have them polish the crank......and bring the block and bearings, torque the bearings in place and use a inside mic to check bearing clearance then mic the crank and polish as needed...........

Jeff thanks for the response i am running the king alecular bearings I just thought i could put a 021 bearing in to open the clearance up they have 019 bearing i think plus 020x as you can tell i not a engine builder but i cannot do as bad as the one i had last year the motor only run 52 laps and the number two main bearing turned black. The block check out good. thanks

You want a .0025 clearance on all the bearings. You can also try swapping some of the bearing halves between each other on ones that are too tight or loose.
