first check with your local tracks and see most of the time you have to be 16. Some tracks do allow 14 but very few. About finding a car if you know any racers around your area that would be a good place to start. Good luck Bobby

You would need to ask your local track. Most that I have been around, you have to be atleast 16 but there are a few that will let you race before that with parents consent.
About where to get a car, look around at wreckin yards. Another thing that you might need to do it to get in with a pitcrew and learn about what kind of car you want, the set up, and etc.

since your asking about age i'm assuming your pretty young and thats great i myself started helping out my uncle and a friends dad when i was 10. it takes alot of money to run even the basic stock class.thats the class i run in and it costs me almost 1000 a year to get ready for the next year and thats after i already have everything just basic refreshing. so your best bet would be to look at swap meets and at the track to find a used car thats as race ready as posible. the best advise i can give is go to the track and get your hands dirty most guys will help a kid out if they are willing to listen and help out

another new guy here.
gonna try a little racing this year. been derbying cars for a few years. going to try a spectator class. pure stock, knock out windows and go. will move battery and gas tank myself though. any thoughts as to if this would be a good beginer class? i'd hate to start out in a higher class and make mistakes, like hitting others or something like that? been ahuge fan of racing my whole life, and demo was a cheap deal. like to put more effort in to something that last longer than one rough night. thanks for any advice and i hope to return any favors in the future.

i think pure stock would be a good way to start. thats what i might get into first. but i need to talk to some race car drivers first. then try to get one of them to hook me up with a car or something. thats what i would do is start pure stock.

Well im 14 and im going to start racing hobby stocks this season. but as far as getting started hopefully uve been in some pit crews and know a few people that race. i pitted with 1 of the best racers in my class last season and i learned alot but i guess pure stock would be sumwhat more simple. but the biggest thing i learned was the expenses! i knew it wouldnt be cheap but it just keeps getting more and more expensive! but hey its gonna be worth it! good luck JLW!
