So how many women would like to get into racing if there were only a women's division? And if we all work together we will get paid too. Besides there are more of us than of them.

Would there be an advantage running in a women's division?

Don't know yet, at least there would be a better chance of winning We have to find out how many women would actually run in it first. Then find out how to get it started.

When starting any new class or division, set down with experienced drivers/car builders and write the rules. Keeping the cost of racing in check, simplicity of car building rules and easy tech-ability will lure drivers to the class or division.
Depending on the size of the track you are planning to run, get an adequate number of cars built to put on a show, then approach the owner or promoter. It's a lot harder to say no to 6 or 7 cars than 3 or 4. On the 1/4 mile track where I run, 6 will put on a show, 10 is better but hard to get at first. Track owners and promoters will be more receptive to having the division run at their track if it will draw additional people into the stands.

Count me in. My husband says I can run his car. I would probably only be able to run at Salem because of my work schedule, but yes, I am definately interested.

A pure mini-stock division for the ladies would be a place to start, the cars are inexpensive{cheap}and a lot of them are around so they are not hard to come by.

ufo racing here, We run in Montana and my wife drives. She has to run against the guys but she won her first main in her third year as a driver in june of 2001. She only runs about 6 races a year so that would really be about the end of a normal 20 race season. I am proud of her and if you get this going maybe she would be interested in coming your way and trying her hand at racing with you all. Keep us posted.
