all i know is that the car is in gear or out of gear that is why sprints have to be push started no other shifting invloved once it fires

sprints use an in and out box which is basically little more than an input shaft, an output shaft and a sliding syncronizer to couple the two shafts together. Thus the name IN gear and OUT of gear. They typically use no clutch and have no battery or starter so they have to be push started in gear to start them

My car has A winters rear slider Quick change ,instead of an in and out box up behind the engine it has a gear back by the quick change gears that engages and disinguages puting the car in or out of gear.

I was reading our rules & they state cars must have flywheel, batt & be self starting, what is this setup??? Where do you fit it?
