I feel I need to make a statement on 2 issues that have been discussed on the internet, then I will get off the computer. If anyone would like to talk to me personally, my phone number is on my website and I would love to discuss anything with you by a real name and not a fictitious one. First of all, there was not anyone in Locust Grove, Arkansas Saturday night anymore disappointed or disgusted than I was. I wish everyone would read this with an open mind and put yourself in my shoes. Thursday night at practice, the cars were racing 3 wide all night as they did on Friday night. Remember Stacy Taylor #27 and Dewain Hommel #2 going back and forth in Heat 6. Saturday night we had worked real hard so the feature would be 3 wide racing all night. I told the drivers at the drivers meeting if anything happened to the track I would grade if off so the entire 100 laps would be 3 wide racing. On lap 43-45 someone began leaking oil. Anytime a car leaks oil that will make it a train race. If the grader had not been called to come out, the last 50 laps would have been a train race. I saw the lightening but, if I had not gone ahead and done what I said, the drivers would not have any respect for what I say. They could have also said that I left the track one lane because Moyer was in the lead. When we stopped the race, 99% of the racers was very happy and told me it was a great call. The lightening got closer so we hurried up to start back racing. It sprinkled from then on. If I would have red flagged the race, waited on the rain, and then it poured down, I would have had 24 cars stuck on a 3 hour to dry race track. Not to mention everything that would have been torn up. Another caution came out on lap 83. The leaders then said it was to slick to race. I stopped 5 cars in the middle on to the back and they said it was ok. So, again, no help with seconds to make a call. We went green and had the wreck that I feel I caused. I was devastated. Oh yeah, after it was over and 30 minutes had gone by, it was easy to go back and make a different decision but then it was to late. I am a human and have made many mistakes in my life. This was not the first and I am sure it will not be the last. I just work hard to put on good shows for the fans and the drivers. I am very sorry but once again, I am human.

I do not show favoritism to any of my family members. The guys that race with me normally understand that.

My second problem on here is from another series P.R. person. I work hard with all tracks in our area so we can help each other. There are 5 "little" series all sponsered by O'Reilly Auto Parts. All of our goal is to advertise for O'Reilly and help each other. Patty Frost (I dont think has ever been to Batesville Speedway) was trying to fuel the fire. If I wanted to stir things up, I would have had Larry (My P.R. person, who does a very good job) to get on here and stir up July 3 on that race at Granite City, Illnois. I think they only had 15 cars. I have never had a race without a full field of cars. Please Mrs. Frost, let's try to be professional. If you want fuel on the fire, let me know and I will go to work
