RAIN POSTPONES MACON, IL UDTRA RUN UNTIL JULY 28
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
MACON, IL - A late afternoon thundershower forced postponement of the
United Dirt Track Racing Association Pro DirtCar Series Featherlite Trailers
100 on Monday night at Macon Speedway. The event has been rescheduled for
July 28. There were as many as 35 competitors in the pit area, and more
waiting at the pit gate ready to compete on the 1/5-mile high-banked dirt
Just before the rains came to wash out the program, UDTRA officials met
with the drivers and announced due to the short distance around the tight
"Mighty Macon" track, double file restarts would be used for the 24-car
100-lap main event. This policy will be carried over to the July 28 rain
The next event for the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series will be the $20,000-to-win
Bluegrass Nationals at Florence Speedway in Union, KY this Friday and
This will be the first $20,000-to-win two-day show of the season for the
DirtCar Series. The Qualifying and Heat Races will take place on Friday
night, with the Consolation Races and the Bluegrass Nationals 100 taking
place on Saturday night.
On Friday night, the pit gate opens at 4 p.m., the grandstand gates open
5 p.m., and Qualifying is scheduled for 7 p.m. On Saturday night, the pit

The Comfort Inn in Erlanger, KY will be the Official Host Hotel for the
UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series event at Florence Speedway. The Comfort Inn is
located off I-75 at exit 184, just minutes from Florence Speedway.
