MOYER FLIES HIGH FOR UDTRA EAGLE WIN

LINCOLN, NE - Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR took to the high side and
posted his second United Dirt Track Racing Association Pro DirtCar Series
win of the season Friday night in the McCarthy-Hotentot-Siebler Heating
and
Air Conditioning 40 at Eagle Raceway.

The 1997 UDTRA Champion put his Petroff Towing/J&J Steel Rayburn/Dickens
Taurus in front on lap 2 and led the rest of the way for the $7,000 victory.
The only challenge he received was from the Defending UDTRA Champion Rick
Eckert of York, PA in lapped traffic. Eckert settled for second in the
Raye
Vest Rocket/Cornett Taurus.

Jimmy Mars of Elk Mound, WI took the third spot in his Jimmy Mars Racing
Mastersbilt/Pro Power Monte Carlo, and Dan Schlieper of Pewaukee, WI, who
led the first lap of the race, finished fourth in the Pro Power Racing
Engines GRT/Pro Power Monte Carlo.

Polesitter and fast qualifier Steve Francis of Ashland, KY rounded out the
top five in the Valvoline/Mopar Parts Rocket/Stanton Intrepid. Four-time
UDTRA Champion Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN was sixth in the Miller
Brothers Coal Warrior/Custom Mustang.

Rick Aukland of Zanesville, OH finished seventh in the Ostrom Painting and
Sandblasting Rocket/Malcuit Grand Prix. Billy Drake of Bloomington, IL
took
the eighth spot in the Creative Kitchens Mastersbilt/Mulvain Grand Prix.

Donnie Moran of Dresden, OH was ninth in the QPI Tools Rayburn/Fisher Monte
Carlo, and the 1999 UDTRA Champion and current UDTRA point leader Dale
McDowell of Rossville, GA finished tenth in the Larry Shaw Race Cars
Rocket/Custom Grand Prix. McDowell's point lead over Eckert has now shrunk
to just 10 points.

Just 44 points now separate the top four drivers in the UDTRA Pro DirtCar
Series point standings. Behind McDowell and Eckert are Mars in third spot,
28 points behind Eckert, and Francis in fourth, six points behind Mars.

At the drop of the green flag, Schlieper got the hole shot on Francis to
lead into the first turn from the outside of row one. Moyer came from the
outside of row two to make it a three-wide battle for the lead for the first
two laps. Schlieper led the first lap by inches over Francis and Moyer.
On
the second lap, Moyer led at the flagstand, and then slowly began to pull
away.

"I really didn't have any plan on what groove to run when the race started,
but I ran the top on the first lap," Moyer said. "Schlieper looked better
on the inside, so I got in the middle groove, and that seemed to be where
my
car was the fastest."

While Moyer pulled away in the middle groove, a three-wide battle for the
second spot was shaping up with Schlieper on the inside, Francis in the
middle, and Eckert on the outside. Francis took over the second spot on
lap
four, and by lap eight, Eckert passed Schlieper for the third spot. On
lap
nine, Eckert worked to the inside of Francis to take over the second spot.

The field settled in for the next ten laps, and at the halfway point it
was
Moyer leading by a full straightaway over Eckert, Francis, Mars, Schlieper,
Drake, Bloomquist, Moran, Aukland, and McDowell. By lap 24, Moyer began
to
work heavy lapped traffic, as Eckert used the opportunity to close the gap
on the leader.

Eckert was able to get within one car-length of Moyer, but the race leader
quickly put two lap cars between himself and Eckert, and that was all he
needed, as he began to pull away. Francis faded to fifth in the closing
laps of the race, as Mars and Schlieper passed him with two laps to go.
The
race went caution-free and only took a little over nine minutes to complete.

Joe Kosiski of Omaha, NE was the Advance Auto Parts Hard Charger of the
Race
after starting 21st and finishing 14th in the Kosiski Auto Parts GRT/Draime
Monte Carlo. Another local favorite, John Anderson of Omaha, NE finished
17th in the Tender Heart Treasures GRT/Hatfield Grand Prix and was the Lucas
Oil Rookie of the Race.

Francis earned fast time honors among the 40 entrants with a lap around
the
1/3-mile high-banked clay oval in 14.472 seconds for an average speed of
82.919 miles per hour. Francis also won the first 12-lap heat race to earn
the pole position for the main event. Schlieper won the second heat and
the
$100 Scott Performance Wire Bonus Award.

Eckert won the third heat and Moyer picked up an extra $400 by winning the
fourth heat race and the JE Pistons Bonus Award.

Brian Birkhofer of Muscatine, IA celebrated the birth yesterday of his new
son Cruz by winning the first 12-lap Polaris ATVs Consolation Race in the
Seubert Calf Ranches Mastersbilt/Pro Power Grand Prix. Matt Miller of
Waterville, OH won the second 12-lap Polaris ATVs Consolation Race in the
McCullough Motorsports Rocket/Russell Baker Grand Prix.

During the driver's meeting, UDTRA Officials announced a $100,000 Bonus
Award during a stretch of five events during the month of June. If a single
driver can win three of five events, that driver will pick up a bonus of
$100,000. The five $100,000 Bonus events are being run in conjunction among
two series, three promoters, and four race tracks.

The series of races begins with the June 18 UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series event
at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, IA, and the second race will be a
Renegade Series event at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, IL on June 19.

The third and fourth races will be part of the Masters weekend at Cedar
Lake
Speedway in New Richmond, WI. The Renegade Series will run on June 21,
and
the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series will run on June 22. The final event of the
series will be a UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series event on June 25 at Crawford
County Speedway in Denison, IA.

The three race promoters and the two series are still working on another
bonus around the five-race series that could pay a whopping $250,000. Stay
tuned for more details.

The UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series returns to action on Saturday night at Eagle
Raceway for the $10,000-to-win McCarthy-Hotentot-Siebler 75 in front of
the
SPEED Channel cameras for airing on June 20 at 11 p.m. ET.
