Scoggins & Tinker Close in Championship Chase

The first to double up in Super Late Model victory lane status Mike Tinker
of Ringgold GA has closed to within six points of knocking off current Track
Championship points leader Lamar Scoggins of Cleveland. After four events of
competition the 2002 Championship season gets back into Regular Racing
format mode this Saturday night for Round # 5 of the Points Title chase. The
Super Late Models will top the card of events with their usual 30 lap
"Ground Pounding Earth Shattering "A" Main feature. Reigning 2001 Rookie of
the Year, 16 year old Todd Morrow of Old Fort is still looking for his
career first Cleveland Speedway SLM victory, despite his worst finish coming
in this past Saturday night. Other division toppers in the points standings
include; Dewayne Powell of Cleveland (Claimer Late Models), Doug Works of
Cleveland (Hobby),both of which a new to the points lead as of lat weekend.
Jason Spraker of Cleveland heads the Pony Stock and Roy Nichols of
Cleveland still tops the Street division. All five divisions will be
starting Hot Lap Practice Sessions at 7PM with racing starting usually prior
