UDTRA "DIRTY THURSDAY" TO PREMIER TONIGHT ON SPEED CHANNEL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
WOODSTOCK, GA - UDTRA "Dirty Thursday" will premier tonight at 11 p.m. ET
the SPEED Channel. The first of ten United Dirt Track Racing Association
be televised by the SPEED Channel this season will come from Thunder Valley
Speedway in Glenmora, LA with the $15,000-to-win Paragon Casino Resort
Soaring Eagle Classic.
The program will feature, for the first time in a UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series
points race, double-file restarts. This led to what many long-time
observers of dirt late model racing said was one of the best races in the
history of the spot.
The 11 p.m. ET time slot on the SPEED Channel will be a consistent starting
time on selected Thursdays for UDTRA "Dirty Thursday." The premier
broadcast will also re-air on SPEED Channel on Monday, May 6 at 3 p.m.
Other venues that will host UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series televised events in
2002 include Scenic Raceway in Oneida, TN, Eagle Raceway in Lincoln, NE,
Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI with two events, Crawford County
Speedway in Denison, IA, Rome Speedway in Rome, GA, Kentucky Lake Motor
Speedway in Calvert City, KY, and two events at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock,
GA that include the 13th Annual Hardee's Shootout.
