CENTRAL OHIO RACE CAR SHOW SET

MANSFIELD,OH---The 1st Annual CENTRAL OHIO RACE CAR SHOW will be held on Sunday March 25, 2001 at the Kroger’s Grocery located at 1060 Ashland Road, Mansfield, Ohio from 11:00 AM through 4:00 PM. At present 49 race cars have been committed for the debut race car show representing various divisions of racing including dirt Late Models, Sprint Cars, Street Stocks, Drag Cars, Crusier Cars and Go Karts. In addition, a multitude of door prizes will be given away to lucky race fans throughout the day.

Among the race teams and drivers who will be on hand include the dirt Late Models of Wayne Maffett,Jr., Charlie Duncan, Jim Cushing, Doug “The Kid” Drown, Dave Wirt, Took Wiles, Mike Giess, J.R. Gentry, Chester Elliot, Thomas Baker and returning dirt Late Model star Jim Gentry, among many others. Sprint Cars will also be on hand, including those of Tim Hunter, George Prosser, Troy Kingen and others. Street Stocks will also be displayed and among those that will be in attendance include Mike Lonas, Toby Bago, Lou Bemiller and more.

In addition, race tracks like Lakeville Speedway and Wayne County Speedway will have booths set up with new rules and schedules available.

Brian - the car show was cool. Lots of nice looking cars there. And they had a good turn out. It was WAY too cold - 28 degrees abd SNOW, but there were lots of people and alot of fun going on. I think I saw where there were 43 cars that showed up. Benny Lester had the best looking car (just my opinion)

Yeah when i was getting ready to go..i couldnt see 10 ft out the door.
