How serious do you guys get on setting your bumpsteer. Do you have certain numbers you shoot for on left and right?

Do you guys just bolt it on and trust it's right. Or do ya check and adjust?

I adjust the daylights out of mine. We have an old Bullitt chassis and I want every ounce of performance out of it I can get. The LF should exhibit 0 bump steer (not possible with our car). The right should bump out about .10 to .15 thousands per inch of shock travel. About the best we could do is .35. I'm no expert but that's the nubmers all the books give. Lot's of guys say that since we run on dirt those adjustments aren't important but why give up even a tiny bit of performance? Especially if you are a low budget team like us. We do all kinds of things we don't have to, like balancing the wheels and drive shaft, squaring the suspension with a lazer, going through the complete set up before each race, scaling the car before each race....etc. Unless you have a lot of money and new parts, get everything you can out of your car, at least that's my opinion.
