I'm trying to get back into Late Model racing after 2 years. Obviously, alot has changed, and I have ALOT of catching up to do. I'm building a new GRT for a 1/4 mile medium banked track, and am curious about what kind of setups people are running now. I hear that people run alot of LR, and soft rf springs, 3 and 4 rear coilovers. What about the pull bars? Likes? Dislikes? What changes need to be made to run the pullbar? Most of my experience and success has been with stock clip/leaf cars, so I would apreciate any help or advice. I know this is a wide open question, but you can't learn unless you ask, right?

This is just my personal opinion, but with a 4-bar car we do not like to run alot of left rear in the car, ususally about 125 lbs, is all. Alot of left rear seems to make the car want to lift the left front off the ground. We have tried it a couple of times and feel like the car is alot faster with the left front skimming the ground, not completely off of it. Like I said this is just a personal preferance of my driver. By the way we run GRTs at tracks from stop and go 1/4 miles to big fast momentum 3/8 miles and love it.

Thanks for the reply. My last car was a GRT too, but I never could get it to bite on a tight stop and go 1/4 mile. I guess that's why I'm so interested in the pullbar. Have you ever tried it?

No, we have always stayed with the lift bars that are standard. One thing we have done in use the J&J 5th coil set-up, it gives alot of foward drive on slick race tracks, but it makes the car pretty tight. Anything else I can help with, just let me know.
