In our street stock class we are allowed to run either the d55 hoosier or the McCreary EC2. Any thoughts on which might be better?

Hoosier D-55 is a better tire with more repeatabilty from week to week. Have run them both and would say that the Hoosiers probably good for a half second advantage on the track

depends on how many laps you run. one thing about the ec 2 tire is it will be there at the end, and it will take more abuse, rubbing ect. I prefer the EC 2 because they will save you if you get in a jam on a wet track. i have run them both, and the EC is hard to beat.

We won the track championship on EC 2's when most was running the D-55. On a 10in wheel I like the EC-2 better because you can keep more tire patch on the ground, the D-55 balloons out on the sidewall on a 10in wheel.
