Anybody out there have any experience running a cast crank in a late model with a 750 4 bbl on alky. I've heard if you use synthetic oil and keep it under 7300 RPM, you'll be ok. Thanks

We have done it in mods and tried to keep it under 7000 and havent broken one yet.....knock,knock,knock on wood. LOL

I run a cast crank in a chevy 383 in a modified on methanol i twist it tight too 7400 7500 rpms and ran all season last year like 28 shows tore it down maged it and it was in great shape runnin it this year works well Mabe im just lucky

ditto running in mod 7200 rpms balanced though. i was told by a machine shot that the more weight thats hanging on the crank ie flywheel and balance the better chance it has of lasting. though i run a dd glide and stock 400 balancer and flexplate. likewise knock on wood.
