Just make a set of Ramps to roll car up on same height as scales then from these onto scales thats what most guys around here do,then no binding of tires.

posted July 16, 2000 12:51 AM The only problem I see with that is, if your on concrete and your front tires are a toe out scenario, when you push the car, it will actually try to pull the suspension out when you roll them on the ramps. So, you are a whole lot closer, but you may still have some bind....

We use two pieces of thin galvanized sheet metal under each front tire with heavy weight oil in between. After the car is on the scales we just bounce it a few times. This setup is also effective as a poor man's turn plate when setting caster/camber.
