I have short yoke that takes a 2-301 u-joint
that's 1 1/8 cap, 3 11/16 wide. Is that a narrow or wide yoke? Does anyone know a part #
for this yoke? Is it on 69-72 1/2 ton ford truck or van?

Why can some people ask a question and get a reply and some of us are just ignored? 3rd post with no reply. Several posts about yokes (long,short,narrow,and wide)on here,but nobody knows anything.I've looked
at all of the posts with "yokes" in them and haven't found what i'm looking for.But there is a narrow and a wide. What's the difference? This would really help. thanx

JAMMIN HAS ONE OF THE BEST SITES THAT THERE IS FOR INFO, BUT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT NOT ALL OF US HAS THE TIME TO BE ON THE SITE ALL THE TIME AND THAT SOME ANSWERS TAKE TIME TO REPLY.

HERE IS THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION AS BEST AS I CAN DO.

FORD MADE FIVE CHANGES IN THE YOKE FOR THE 9" FORD REAR END. A FLANGE YOKE, A SHORT 1310 YOKE, A LONG 1310 YOKE, A SHORT 1330 YOKE, AND A LONG 1330 YOKE. THE AFTERMARKET MAKE A SHORT 1350 YOKE.

IF ANY OF THE ABOVE YOKES ARE TO BE USED WITH A DAYTONA PINION SUPPORT YOU NEED TO ORDER ONE FOR THE SUPPORT OR REMOVE .210 INCH FROM THE OVERALL LENGTH AT THE SEAL END.

THE FLANGE YOKE NOT USED IN MOST RACING. IT USES FOUR BOLTS TO HOOK THE DRIVESHAFT FLANGE TO THE REAR END FLANGE

THE SHORT YOKES ARE 4 1/16" LONG
THE LONG YOKES ARE 5 1/8 " LONG

THE 1310 YOKES ARE 3 7/32 FROM END OF U-JOINT CAP TO END OF U-JOINT CAP.
THE 1330 YOKES ARE 3 5/8 " FROM END OF U-JOINT CAP TO END OF U-JOINT CAP.

THE 1310 U-JOINTS ARE 3 7/32" BY 1 1/16" CAPS
THE 1330 U-JOINTS ARE 3 5/8" BY 1 1/8" CAPS
THE 1350 U-JOINTS ARE 3 5/8" BY 1 3/16" CAPS

TO USE A 1310 DRIVESHAFT END AND A 1310 REAR END YOKE, YOU NEED A SPICER 5-153X U-JOINT

TO USE A 1330 DRIVESHAFT END AND A 1330 REAR END YOKE, YOU NEED A SPICER 5-1204X U-JOINT

TO USE A 1310 DRIVESHAFT END AND A 1330 REAR END YOKE, YOU NEED A FORD SVO M4635A U-JOINT THE SVO JOINT IS ALSO BOXED AND SOLD BY MANY RACE SHOPS AS A FORD/CHEV COMBO U-JOINT

SO NOW I HAVE USED MY 1/2 HOUR OF FREE TIME FOR THE DAY AND MUST GET BACK TO WORK, BUT DO NOT THINK THAT YOU WERE IGNORED.
