I just rebuilt and installed one in my car last season. I was told that there are two different versions of the super turbine 300 one has a switch pitch converter I'm not sure exactly what that is but was told that they won't work good for racing even if you replace the converter. From what I found parts are hard to come by but regular powerglide clutches work for forward and reverse. If I remeber right I think the band out of a powerglide will also work. Pontiac High Performance magazine did a build up on one several years ago I'll try to find a date on it. If there is anything else I can help with let me know.

dirtracer50 is right on all accounts. i have rebuilt many of these.(mostly restoration deals) i think they would work for circle track as well. they would be no different than a pg .......ford5
in fact, the pump is stronger and the input is the same as 350\400, making the use of any of those converters possible.
