I have a 3000/6000 watt inverter I am selling if you are interested. I used it to run a compressor, but I needed a bigger cfm compressor on my truck so I don't need an inverter quite this big. Here are the spec's: http://www.donrowe.com/inverters/vector_3000.html

how much for it, the used one? also i have a question for you, while were at it. How many watt inverter would it take to power a 2 horse 4 gallon air compressor?

That is what I was using and I didn't have any problems...
Multiply: AMPS X 110 (AC voltage) = WATTS
So 12Amps is about 1500 continuous watts to be safe. Some times compressors go 3-5 time the amp rating during startup which is why I needed up to 6000 watt ability.
I am asking $450 for the inverter. Let me know if you are interested.
