need a 2" square panard bar mt. (dirt works style) would like to trade 1 3/4 round coleman mount for one.

I would use the round.I tried square once,and it cost me alot of money.I took a hit in the left rear wheel,not that bad of hit,but it tore up alot of parts because nothin gave,after I replaced everything I went to the round style and took a harder hit in the left rear wheel and did not have to replace any parts except a bent heim end.I did not have to have the rear straightened because the mount slid on the round tube.After that I always use the round style,and the Coleman is the best I have used.Another bonus is you can always have the round one in line with the other end if you ever change anything on the rear like wheelbase or raise or lower panhard bar mount on the rear end side.My 4 1/2 cents.

Thanks for that tip dirttrackracer, I was just getting ready to switch over to the square tubing bracket also. The stuff you learn here on the Dirtforum...WOW!!!

If for nothing other than it's entertainment value, here goes:

I switched to the 1 1/2" square after replacing the round tubing upright on the frame that the mount attaches to 4 times this season.

1st time - rolled while avoiding t-boning someone, came down on lr wheel. Bent frame upright tubing for panhard (PH) attachment and rearend mount.
Went back with everything like it was.

2nd time - collected in pile up, rr impact. Frame upright tubing bent, pretzeled PH bar and bent rearend mount.
Replaced rear end bracket with heavy duty multi-hole weld on bracket (no more bracket breaks). Double walled frame tubing.

3rd time- A car that winds up taking out 4 others (each at different times), spins the track champ in the middle of the turn after I had already committed/setup at the turn entry. Hard rr impact. Bent double walled frame upright, broke PH bar.

4th- In the A Main, loose nut spins for the nth time, some how expertly defies the laws of momentum and makes it humanly impossible to avoid a collision. Bends and breaks double walled tubing, breaks PH bar
added story bonus: Heat race problems with the Master of control loss placed us on the back of the A Main. On the start, this guy spins in turn 4 and tags the car next to him. I drive down into the infield several car lengths off of the track to avoid contract. He stays in the throttle and still manages to dart into the infield and squarely hit my right front tire!

I have replaced the frame tube to heavy walled square tubing in hopes that the PH bar will be the only thing that needs replacing should this happen again. Or maybe it's just time to locate a new track

Hey FirstLight,that does not sound entertaining,it sounds like the guy needs his *** kicked.I never said it was idiot proof.Why does every track have a guy like you mentioned??
