Boone Speedway tunes up with Super Nationals Warmup
BOONE, Iowa - Promoter Robert Lawton has scheduled a special event that will be a warm-up for the I.M.C.A. Speedway Motors Super Nationals.
The crew at Boone Speedway will tune up for the 20th annual event with the Memorial Day Super Nationals Warmup.
Four I.M.C.A.-sanctioned divisions, headlined by the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models, make up the program for the Monday, May 27 show.
Rounding out the card are the Modifieds, Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks.
"We thought it would be nice to have a practice for Super Nationals," Lawton said, tongue half in cheek.
Pit gates open at noon on race day, with hot laps at 4 p.m. and opening heats at 5 p.m. Track, regional and national points will be awarded in the Modified, Stock and Hobby divisions.
Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids 12 years and under. Pit passes are $20 each.
More information about the Super Nationals Warmup will be available by calling (515) 987-1220.
Boone Speedway has been the permanent home for Super Nationals since 1988. This year's event is scheduled for Sept. 2-7.
