Have you heard anything about Gator Speedway dropping the Imca sanction? Any info would be great, if so I will have some new tires to unload cheap.

Thanks

I called the track yesterday, talked with the owner he says he is keeping IMCA and that he is going to revise the payout based on car count. I cant blame him ya gotta run it like a business. Anyway I will run this weekend my # is 22 stop by and say Hi.

I am doing everything I can to get into an IMCA mod, I just can't seem to sell my stockcar. If I had the money I would buy my friends some Mods just to get the car count up @ Gator. In IMCA down to 10 cars is considered a full points race, minus points from first from there, they should run even if they only have two cars show up.

I have a extra IMCA mod roller for sale cheap, I might even trade for something of equal value.

I want the IMCA to take off my brother runs mods also he has the money to run ump or IMCA (single) me I got the full boat as far as responsiblitys go, so IMCA give me a chance to compete.

I talked to the owner at Gator and suggested that he lower the weight rule down to 2350 it might help bring in more cars on that alone what do you think?

You can't lower the weight in imca, they state it is either 2450 or no weight limit. Why does everyone seem to think imca needs to accomodate all the ump guys that want to race imca. Get your car right and race.

There were 13 IMCA mods at gator it made for a decent show. Wish I coulda faired better than I did but it was my first run this year and I learned a lot about the track.

Billy Bob I thought it was 2350 or 2450 depending on what the track wanted to enforce. I agree with you UMP guys need to get with the IMCA rules and just race the last thing we need is a bunch of hoo-haa over this rule or that rule JUST RACE!!!

THE RULE IS 2450 OR NOTHING (NO WEIGHT LIMIT) DEPENDING ON THE TRACKS.

Thanks for the info. I m so glad to hear that they had more cars at Gator this week. HRP has not been having that many mods from what I have heard. Probably cause its a long (big motor) UMP track.

No I wasn't there I was at HRP. I went to Gator to go racing, We were off that night. I borrowed a set of tires from a friend. I thought it would be good check the track out. It's a good track I had fun. The owner said they were going to put stairs up so the guys in the pits could see the races. ( Not being able to watch the track even at the staging area was my concerns) I do hope the track stays IMCA, If it lasts, maybe next year I'll invest to change over (Tires is the big expence).

Just how much is Tina charging for the Mcreary's anyway. Maybe I'll have to find a cheaper source. Is Phoenix still in business, they alway's made me a good price in the past?

Hey Elwood were you at Gator last night? My count they had 14 cars, and the 55 car won. I forgot your number but asked about you and nobody had seen you. Every car I looked at was running two links, definetly a trend at that track. Some pretty exciting racing.

No Racer 4 I was crying the blues this week.
Last week my car decided to eat my distributor and left a nice amount of bronze gear through out my engine. I have since pulled the engine and should have it back in by Thursday. Right now I am trying to decide what type of Dist. to buy as a replacement?

Any suggestions.

BTW my car is #22

dallas mods - with big motors for low car count competition and points. Well whatever it takes, I say. The more the merrior. And if they are really running big motors I'm sure there will be a claim soon. We don't want to see any claiming wars, but hey, that's IMCA Right! I allway's love it when the big dogs come to Houston area and get their **** 's handed to-em, like this is a slow town, hehehe.

I spoke with Mike Glick who brought 3 cars there last week and he tells me that most of the IMCA tracks north of us are paying about half of Gator. I am thinking that within 2-3 weeks Gators car count will keep going up. Too bad that I wont be able to run for 6 weeks (broken foot) **** wall.
