I realize how hard it is be to be a wife of a racer. You have to deal with the time factors, the late nights, traveling, etc. It takes a very dedicated wife to keep us in line and stay with a racer while he is working to try to achieve his dream. Dedication and hard work are musts in this sport. It does take time away from relationships and other things in a marriage sometimes.

I want to dedicate this post to all the racer's wives out there that love this sport as much as we do and put up with the racer's that make this sport possible.

My wife puts up with it, supports me and I want to thank her for being apart of something very special to me.

I hope you guys will voice your dedications also!

Jammin, You have, once again, hit the nail on the head. I for one would not be able to participate if it weren't for my "better half." That is how she is listed on the car as well as a sponsor. A public thanks to ALL the wives and girlfriends out there that make this possible.

I know this is kinda corny, but John Denvers, Annies Song, really says it all. I can't begin to say enough about my wife, and anyone who knows her, knows that she knows her racing, she can rattle off part numbers, set ups, split valve shock numbers and when to run them and where. She gets sponsors, and puts everything together, she feeds the crew, takes care of us, and chews our A$$ when needed. And the thing that really gets me, is she washes the car between every race at the track. Because she wants to.....what can I say

Jammin, You know how I like to add more input
on what ever the subject.......LOL
I want to thank the wifes of all the people that help us work on the cars, and the kids that help us too. I have a daughter that I was willing to send you for the birthday present (shop help)......I've got kids from down the road that come and help on the car and at the track.........I KNOW THEY MISS OUT ON SOME THINGS WITH THEIR FAMILYS TOO.
And without ALL these GREAT PEOPLE racing would be too hard.
NO MAN is a race team.........thanks again to all the wonderful people that make my racing fun and enjoyable.........I give back as much as I can. And on the track I give 100% otherwise I feel I've cheated myself and everyone who has helped........Jeff

This is a salute to my wife Ann, who allows me to spend "our" money on this endevor. In addition to all the money, time spent in the shop, and time at the track, she still supports this "hobby" of mine, and I love her dearly for it.

It's great to hear guy's saying thank you to their wives and girlfriends, but in my case I have to say thanks to my husband. I'm the driver in the family. I have raced in pure stock class for 2 yrs now. For the last 1 1/2 I have listened to my husband wanting to race. I went out and bought him a street stock last year. Cause of time and money, we didn't get the car on the track for the 2000 season. So at the end of the 2000 season, I told him not to work on my car all winter. Now we will be able to get his car on the track this first point night for the 2001 season. I'm looking forward in watching him to race for the first time in a dirt race car, (he use to drive dragster's), all in all now I don't have to hear him cry about not racing. So good luck honey.

I writing this to thank my great wife KIM.

Honey you are the best and I want to thank you for being so understanding this year. You see we have just had our first son and he is 7 months old and my wife takes care of everything while I pursue my hobby this year. I could not do this without you and I want to thank you again and tell you that you are a great wife, mother and friend.

I love you,

Matt

Rooster,

There is NO song that has ever been written that better describes our precious wives better than "Annie's Song", with the song "You are the Wind Beneath My Wings" being a real close second. (that's probably not the name of the song) Most men are too macho to admit how much they really mean to them.

My bride and I have been married for over 26 years and we still hold hands all the time and we still do all the same things we did when we were 20. I still grab her every time she walks by my chair, I still call her gorgeous & beautiful, and hug her every time she is near me.

Gentlemen, remember, our wives are the "wind beneath our wings". Mine is a bigger race fan than I am. Without her I could not survive, let alone race.

She is my LIFE and I cherish her MORE than my own life. Without her I am NOTHING, with her I am EVERYTHING that I am.

God gave us these precious creatures to share our lives and we owe Him ALL our thanks and gratitude. Let's all remember to thank Him.

To my wife Cindy, (aka Droops), I want to thank you for all the time, support and effort you put into "our baby". She is what makes me "DRIVEN".

I LOVE YOU, happy mother's day from me, the boys, and our BABY!
