I have a 72 Buick Skylark. Running 1/4 mile banked dirt. I have 9 1/2 X 5 lf 1055 rf 1250 and 11" pigtail lr 225 rr 200. Ok, I have three inch spacers for the front and nothing in the rear. I'm getting ready to install and was needing a starting place for correct spacer length. Any help appreciated. Thanks, R

I wouldn't put any spring spacers in until I had a chance to see if the springs would do fine without any. my 2 cents worth

Just as a STARTING point, put your front spacers on top the spring and cut them off at 12" from the pigtail. The rears will probably be at 13". Then set your car on its tires with the weight in the car and the tires properly inflated. At this time you'll be ready to adjust ride heights. I like an inch higher on rf and match lr with rf. one more inch up on the rr.Leave your shocks off itll you're done. You'd be way ahead if you could find someone who will scale it for you.

Ok, so front springs at 12" w/ spacers and back at 13"(will need spacer 2 In.) Then adjust ride height? Also, what do you use to keep the smaller springs in place? Thanks for all the help!

on the rears i made a sleeve to go inside the spring. i welded it in to the upper spring pocket. work great. the springs dont fall out when you jack the car up.

Racinmud:To keep those springs in,just put a couple hose clamps on them. That will keep them from falling out.
