I am no expert on trannys, but it sounds like a worn sincronizer in the trans. I had a four speed that used to pop out of gear all the time, and that was the problem on that one, not unless the way its mounted the body flexes and pulls it out of gear. just my thoughts~~~~~~~~Jim

right at time of acceleration when noticed so it stayed in gear to slow the car into the corner. the thought of the body flexing seemed to be a possibility.but so does bad sync. just pulled the tranny out of a truck that we never seen run.

it sounds like a bent shifting fork.

it is possible that you have worn out bearings on the cluster shaft. This would let the teeth run partially out of engagement and then jump out of gear. SLEEPY
