What free height spring do you run in the rear to get your ride height at the desired height (7"-9" frame to ground) I have a 79 malibu with the stock rear end (7.5) stock mounts, 235/75/15 tires. I currently have a 14" pig tail spring which keeps my frame to ground at approximately 12". Both springs are 200#, I do have a 225# but it sits a little lower than the 14"200# spring. I know this is probably simple but I only want to buy one pair of springs if possible.
Thanks in advance for your replys.

I run a 11 inch spring with a little spacer at the top. 255/70/15. When measuring your ride heights is it full of fuel and race ready? Is it at the correct weight to race at?

Thanks for the reply,
I am not at current weight. I still need to add the rear bumper and fill the tank. I am figuring that will lower the rear an inch or so.
What kind of spacer do you use? Are your springs pig tails?
What angle should the lower trailing arm be to the ground...almost flat?(horizontal)

Nope I have the racing springs with the spacers mine are homemade but are the same as you see in the catalogs. Pretty much two pieces of tubing with a ring of steel in between the two. If I remember right the lower arms are supposed to be level, I know mine are.
