Buddy of mine is helping put together an IMCA Hobbystock, that has a Ford 9" (non-floater) under it. With the stock drum brakes, does the longer shoe go to the front or the back? Or does it matter?

Thanks

Short shoe towards the front, Long shoe to the rear. If they are backwards it won't hurt anything but your stopping power.

Put the short shoe in the back and it will stop great backing up :-)
