Hey guys are rules say you can run a 4 bbl if it came stock on the car.The old carb was running rough so I replaced it with one I bought on e-bay.It was almost the same carb other then the throttle trigger that mounts the throttle cable to.Being to large that it hit the intake we cut part of it off.The carb work great runs alot smoother other then the idle.The lenkage isn't retuning all the way back to the idle ***** .Running at a high idle unless i manully pull it back.Has anybody experienced this before?Is this just a problem with the return spring,maybe like I need to get a stronger or shorter spring?Any suggestions of how to make this work and bring the idel back down would be appreacated

Check your butterflys and see if they are hitting the manifold or a gasket. I bet its something to do with that. Also, see if they are closing all the way before you put it on the manifold.

Check if the original choke/high idle linkage is still on the passenger side of the carb. if it is, remove it.
