I have a 79 Firebird and a 77 Malibu.Which 1 of these cars would be best for racing enduro and why. They have to remain stock.Thanks.

The firebird will probably handle better but the malibu will hold up better if your enduros are rough.
The malibu has a full frame and holds up reasonably well.
I race at a mud track where the camaros and firebirds do well. The asphalt track is almost all full frame cars such as the chevelle. My recommendation is to see what does well at your local track.
My self, I prefer the larger car.

I don't have any experience running a malibu, but the firebird probably has a better stock front suspension. But as mentioned before, they are uni-body cars and they will not take a beating like the malibu. Also, I don't know how it is where you live, but junk yard parts for the 70's camaros and firebirds are getting few and far between. But, if you don't plan on getting beat up on the track, I would run the firebird, IMHO.

I have seen many enduro incidents that would finish a firebird...the Malibu might not be as fast but more likely to finish...
I have a over 60 races on my 76 Monte that I run in 100 car enduros...

go with the malibu i've seen many uni-body's fold up on impact unless your allowed to cage out the firebird to keep it together.I have a 74 monte going on 7 yrs. with a 4 pt. cage and the malibu is just as stong as a monte.
