Not very accurate and not repeatable for sure! But much better than not scaling at all

actually they can be pretty accurate if you know how to make the scale pad. there are plans in the tool box for doing this although they are hard to read.

I have used bathroom scales for years. If you need better plans send me a PM. The scales I use are the ones on the tool box.

Just because they dont cost between $1000 and $2500 doesn't mean they don't work.

I built a set a few years ago, pretty accurate, easy to use and cheap! Check out the ones in the tool box. Remember that the more accurately you build them the better they will be. loojack...

HAVE USED BATHROOM SCALES FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND I CHECK THEM WEEKLY AGAINST THE LOCAL TRACK DIGITAL SCALES TOTAL WEIGHT USAUALLY VARIES LESS THAN 10 LBS AND THE ONLY PROBLEM MINE ALWAYS IS IN THE RF SCALE THE TRACK SCALES AND MINE VARY SHOW A GREATER DIFFERENCE AT TIMES BUT FOR AS WHEEL TO WHEEL THAT IS THE ONE WITH THE MOST DIFFERENCE AND THAT HAS A LOT DO WITH THE ANGLE OF THE TIRE ON THE PAD BUT LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS SET IT UP ON THESE USE THEM MAKE GOOD NOTES WHAT WORKS WHAT DONT AND THEY WELL WORK A LOT BETTER THAN NONE

Sounds like odb hasn't heard of them so those who don't know. They work on a lever system, on mine all you do when you scale it is take the scale reading and multiply it times 4. I wouldn't be able to afford regular scales so I bought some professionaly made pieces from fast fab with scales included for $70 at a swap meet.
