if u have any ideas at all, please help me, also trans, and gear ideas as well, besides scraping and buying a chevy...lol

I ran a t-bird last year and i ran a 351 w 3 speed tranny 567 gear on a 3/8 ml track

thanks hotrod, my plans are to do almost the same, gonna give a 302 a shot first i think ?!?

347 stroker....same cubes as a windsor, 100+ lbs. lighter.

302 has a lot of torque, but isn't as fast overall at my 3/8 mile track as a 351W. I have run both. the 302 really gets up and goes, but the top end was never there like the 351. I really like the stroker idea.

347 with 65 289 heads. put 1.9/1.5 valves in the heads. Pocket port and relieve intake valve side of chamber to the head gasket. Should be over 11:1. Also ZERO DECK the block. If I see one more ford small block with .050 deck clearance I'm going to gouge my eyes out with a ball point pen!!!
