I have always ran a standard... I am going to try a 350 auto this year.. right now I have a condenser I was going to use for the cooler. I just wanted some ideas for how and where to mount it... not real big on the idea of it riding in the car with me... if you have any suggestion on where to mount it or if you know of a better cooler (inexpensive) I sure could use the help...

my tranny cooler cost me 30 cents went to he hardware store and got two brass plugs and put them in the lines not a problem just keep up with the fluid changes if you do want to run one tho most guys around here mount them where the heater core used to be they just use some little chunks or fuel line and fender washers to get it off the firewall so the air can pass thru it and just zip tie it on

I would use a cooler on a turbo 350 with a working converter. It does not need to be real big. mount it under the hood in flowing air.

mid to late eighties tempos and other Fords have very nice external coolers. Go to the salvage yard and grab a few.

Thanks for the help, with your input I decided to put a smaller cooler on the fire wall...

I got two good coolers at the salvage recently for free.
Here is the hint
Always throw the smaller stuff like this in small piles close to the larger stuff like doors you are going to use for skins, transmisions, rearends etc.
AND make buddies with the salvage guy never hurts eighter.
