Are there any stock oil pans for a SBC that have more than 5 quart capacity? Must fit in a '82 Monte. What to look for?

Check out www.kevko.net. I am going to buy a pan from him. Looks like a nice product line.

I'm sure that some would not believe it but, I have competed in 4 seasons using a completely stock pan and run 6 quarts and a stock volume pump. At idle it maintains 60 psi, and while on the gas it has always maintaned 80 psi. I have not blown up or spun bearings in this motor as of yet. It is the same motor I started with and it got new bearing after the second year, the crank has only been polished.

I've got a stock appearing Kevco that has a couple of gates and a scraper built into it. I like Kevco pans--I've seen several of my competitors with oil leaks due to cheap claimer pans breaking; either at the front where the pan rolls under at the timing cover seal or where a baffle was spot welded. Cheap oil pans are generally just that---cheap!

I run a stock pan on my bomber for years. I just ran a quart over on the oil. I never had a problem.
