Just curious on what tire runs best on dirt. I will be running a 1/4 mile banked dirt in Colorado. By the time the the main rolls around it is a dry slick. No dot "racing tires" allowed.

i like firestone fire hawk ss but i can't run them because we have a spec tire size now that they don't offer so we have switched to kuhmo 795 series tires they work real good and are not to bad on the wallet either. bridgestone blizzacks are a realy good tire super soft but they are like $85 a piece and they don't get alot of nite out of them

I use Futura GLS from Pep Boys about $60 a tire out the door cash and carry. I'm told that they're made by Cooper. Just my $.02. Happy Holidays! loojack

We run American Racer tires. They are dot but they may be too wide for the rules at your track.

Generally speaking, on a "DOT" tire, buy the cheapest tire you can find as they are useally the softest and have the least amount of rated mileage.

Just be consistent and make sure the roll out is the same as it varys from brand to brand for instance;

275/60/15
National Renagade 89" roll out
B.F.Goodrich white letter 87.5" roll out

Good luck
Jim

We run the copper cobra's and i love them,we have a track like yours only it is 3/8,by the time of the feature it is really dry and slick.They seem to hook up alot better than any other tire I have run.

When we can find them "National Regegade" work real well for us. Our track gets dry slick (especially in the late summer)these tires seem to wear well and hook up as good as any we've tried.
