Hi, moving up from mini's and will be running a stock turbo 350 on a banked 1/4 mile dirt track. The car has a 307 gear now. Stock 350 motor with 2 bbl carb. Any help greatly needed. Thanks, Leon

we use to have a 1/4 track here in my town and we would run either a 3.43 or 3.73 in second gear but alot of other guys did what 17j said, my freind that raced the same class as me used a 12 bolt and ran a 6.14 and when his car didnt break he kicked **** , but he had twice as much in his rearend too

Your 308 gears would work great with tranny in low gear.2.73 gears work great also.

A 308 is gonna turn up just a little bit too much for you, a 273 is gonna be a little slow outta the corners. I ran 273 w/T-350 in low on a 1/4 and it was just a little too slow, this is with 235/70/15's. On a 3/8 track with the same combo it ran real well. Go with the 273's, your motor will appreciate it.

Thanks for the help! It looks like I'm going to start the season off with the 308/t350 setup. I'll have to make this work until I can make some changes. Once again, thanks.

I run 2.73 with a t350 in first gear on
a 1/3 mile track. Works pretty good. If
they made a 2.90 for my rear end I would
give it a try. On 1/4 mile track I would
say the 3.08 in first would be perfect.

you want a final drive of 6.90 to 7.00 to make your car run good.. tranyy gear x rearend gear I ran a 1.68 with a 4.11
